These Terms govern your use of AskJesus, an AI chatbot provided by The Center for Unity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Indiana, United States (“we,” “us”). By using AskJesus, you agree to these Terms.

What AskJesus is

AskJesus is an AI chatbot, built on ChatGPT, that responds in the tone, spirit, and wisdom of Jesus as portrayed in Part IV of The Urantia Book. It is offered for spiritual reflection, education, and exploration.

Not professional advice

AskJesus does not provide medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional or emergency services. Do not rely on it for decisions in these areas. If you are in crisis, please see our Safety page and contact your local emergency services.

AI-generated content

Responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Please verify important information against The Urantia Book and other trusted sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any response.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse AskJesus. In particular, you will not:

  • use it for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • submit other people’s personal or sensitive information;
  • use it to harass, harm, or impersonate others.

Intellectual property

The English text of The Urantia Book is in the public domain. The AskJesus name, site design, and original content are owned by The Center for Unity. You may share responses for personal, non-commercial reflection.

Third-party services

AskJesus relies on third-party services, including OpenAI (which processes your questions to generate responses) and YouTube (video embeds). Your use may also be subject to their terms.

No warranties

AskJesus is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Center for Unity will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of AskJesus.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of AskJesus will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Indiana.
